Buffer tanks, sometimes referred to as accumulator tanks, can provide the easiest solution to most renewable energy projects. Whether a buffer tank is required for a solar or heat pump project, or an accumulator tank for a wood fired biomass boiler application, we here at Mibec Heat Solutions can give knowledgeable, yet impartial advice on the right tank for you.

We can supply buffer tanks from a simple 170 litre product for use with solar heating, to a 7000 litre tank which may have large commercial or industrial applications.

Tanks can be simple buffers or accumulator tanks, or can have solar coils fitted, or utilised to connect to existing gas or oil systems. Most tanks in the buffer or accumulator range can also be fitted with electric immersion heaters, to provide back up power when needed.

Most tanks can also provide domestic hot water if required. This is typical of our ‘tank in tank’ range or our Eco Combi range, which has a dedicated fast recovery stainless steel coil, for fast production of hot water.

Our Eco Combi range has also been designed to effectively link wood fired boilers or wood burning stoves to existing gas, oil or even heat pump systems.
